Mahamrityunjaya Mantra and Shree Yantra

You will find that in an ideal Shree Yantra, there is an overlapping of four upward pointing triangles and five downward pointing triangles. These triangles represent the Shiva (Purusha or the masculine energy) and the Shakti (Prakriti or the feminine energy) respectively.

These nine overlapping triangles, resulting in a total of 43 smaller triangles, represent the essence of Shiva-Shakti. The most concurrent and concentric triangles bring stability in the structure. To balance the masculine and feminine energies, it is important that the design of Shree Yantra has concurrent and concentric circles. Also, the central triangle, known as “Trikon”, must be an equilateral triangle. Only with the right structure and design, it can spread peace and harmony.
