Shree Yantra is one of the most powerful yantras and is also called as the king of Yantras. It is a form of a diagram which is formed by a central point also called as bindu surrounded by nine interlocking triangles. It follows the Fibonacci series and the Golden ratio from Vedic Mathematics. The nine triangles are interlaced in such a way that they form 43 smaller triangles. A Shree Yantra with the right geometry is extremely powerful and highly effective. Research has shown that in terms of its energetic effectiveness, Shree Yantra is 70 times more powerful than an equivalent pyramid. The three-dimensional projection of Shree Yantra is called as Maha Meru because of its Meru-like shape.
Shree Yantra also has a strong mythological connection.
Connection with Goddess Lakshmi
It is dedicated to goddess Lakshmi and it is believed to invoke the power of Lakshmi into the lives of those who possess it. Shree Yantra, with its sacred geometry, symbolises Goddess Lakshmi and carries her divine vibrations. Worshipping the Yantra attracts abundance, prosperity, and wealth.
Connection with Adi Shankaracharya
It is believed that when Adi Guru Shankaracharya established his four muths, he also established Shree Yantra and Shree Vidya aaradhana in all the four centres of learning and of Sannyaas. Even today, the chief Sanyaasin worships the Shree Yantra to gain the understanding of creation and existence of the transcendental nature.
Shree Yantra and Cosmic Blueprint
Any creation in the world first needs to be conceptualised and converted into a blueprint before it is actualised – this is true with anything, right from a car to a plane. In a similar manner, for the universe as well, there is something called as the Cosmic Blueprint of the Universe or Cosmic Blueprint of Creation. This blueprint is present within every living creature in this universe in the form of DNA. Experts believe that the blueprint of the visible and invisible energies is seen in the Shree Yantra.
Shree Yantra and Meditation
Shree Yantra is not a part of any particular religion. Since Shree Yantra symbolises the cosmic manifestation, it has been used by Sanyaasins for their meditation and Spiritual awakening from several centuries. It represents the union of consciousness and energy or the masculine and feminine energies – also called as Shiva Tatva (Masculine tatva) and Shakti tatva (Feminine tatva). While the four upward triangles in Shree Yantra represent Shiva, the five downward triangles represent Shakti. The interplay of Shiva/Shakti gives rise to the remaining forty-three triangles. These 43 triangles symbolise the wholeness of existence. The central bindu represents the point of highest consciousness. When used during meditation, the centre point in Shree Yantra helps in bringing the awareness to a singular point.
Shree Yantra and Vastu Shastra
Shree yantra is considered to be a very powerful and auspicious yantra in vastu shastra. It helps in removing the Vastu-dosha. Vastu Shastra defines Vastu-dosha as the flaw or deficiency in the known characteristics of the eight directions. Shree Yantra is a very effective yantra useful for removing the defects in the vastu. Since it is the highest source of energy, it helps in energising the vastu and acts as a strong channel for positive cosmic energy. It not only enhances the flow of positive energy but also improves the quality of life of the people living in the house.
Because of several benefits of Shree Yantra, there is an increased demand for Shree Yantra all over. However, the creation of the perfect Shree Yantra is a very time consuming and costly job due to which, there are several manufacturers who are selling faulty Shree Yantras which are not accurate and do not use the ideal metals. An incorrect Shree Yantra cannot provide the maximum benefits.
